Description:
SYN6988 speech synthesis module has small size, SMD package, simple hardware interface, low power consumption, clear and round tone, close to human voice, and extremely high cost performance; in addition, SYN6988 has added English text parsing and English sound library, It is a Chinese and English speech synthesis chip for high-end industry applications. The SYN6988 chip is fully compatible with the SYN6658 chip in hardware and communication interface.
SYN6988 realizes the conversion of text to speech (or TTS speech) through the UART interface or SPI interface, and the text data is connected. There is a four-bit DIP switch on the module to select the baud rate, with a power indicator light, the size of the positioning hole and the position of the pin header are the same as those of the 5152 module.
Features:
1. Clear, natural and accurate Chinese and English pronunciation synthesis effect. The chip supports the synthesis of Chinese and English texts, and can use three encoding methods: GB2312, GBK and Unicode. The amount of text synthesized each time can reach 4K bytes.
2. Two communication modes: The chip supports two communication modes, UART and SPI. When the user's UART serial port resources are occupied, the SPI interface can be selected.
3. The chip supports Standby mode. Using control commands can put the chip into Standby mode.
4. The communication baud rate supported by the chip: 4800bps, 9600bps, 57600bps, 115200bps.

Note: The module does not have a power amplifier chip, and the audio output is only enough to drive headphones. If you need to connect a speaker, you need an external power amplifier circuit.
